
The vision of dwellingLIVE began as a quest to find a solution to this problem, by developing a single-point resource to streamline all the post-sale home communication and information.
“Traditionally, when you buy a house, you get the keys and a kitchen drawer stuffed with various manuals and user guides.”, says Jeff. “The problem is that people don’t have the time or patience to sift through all this paperwork to figure out the warranties and maintenance schedules, It’s like to buying a new car.”, he adds, “We want and expect all the bells and whistles of a new home, but we also want someone to tell us what needs to be done, and when.”
So with that, dwellingLIVE set out to create a system that would consolidate every piece of information and interaction with the builder, ranging from customer service requests to automated maintenance notifications for the hundreds of standard and optional items installed in today’s new homes. The interactive system developed was user friendly and effectively managed all the communications and resources of the new home, but it didn’t take long for dwellingLIVE to realize that this single-point solution shouldn’t just be about the builder. Just as important as the homes they build are the communities that they create.
So dwellingLIVE resolved to expand its system by adding more key features. A study showed that the majority of communities were using disparate systems for their HOA or community websites; for Property Management service requests or account balances; for visitor management where residents maintained guest lists; and for point solutions such as access management, package delivery and valet. Homeowners complain about needing multiple logins and passwords for these unfriendly systems and avoid using them wherever possible.
All these features would eventually be integrated into one complete solution for the home and community, the dwellingLIVE solution. By studying best-of-breed companies and their best practices in each field, dwellingLIVE has managed to out-design and outperform every competitor’s product on the market. In 2002, he founded m2vc, inc., as a category management solutions provider dedicated to providing the tools and services necessary for sound retail merchandising decisions by enhancing communication between retailers, suppliers and their brokers. Its flagship products, m2axis and m2mobile, are used today by most of the major grocery industry retailers, suppliers and brokers. In 2006, m2vc won the Innovative Emerging Company Award at the Orange County Innovation Event. The product was also featured in the November 2007 issue of Integrated Solutions For Retailers as winner of their prestigious 2007 Solution Award.
As its founder and President, Mr. Moran has positioned dwellingLIVE to be the nation’s premier interactive dwelling solutions provider. Within three short months of its launch dwellingLIVE’s innovative technology was implemented by the nations leading developers and builders. Today, he continues to enhance and market dwellingLIVE’s services to developers, builders, manufacturers, property management, security companies and homeowner associations. A family man and surfing fanatic, Jeff resides in Laguna Beach, California with his wife and their two children.
Through his experience in the hospitality industry Greg has an in-depth understanding of the importance of customer service, for both his clients and the end user. This insight has been a valuable part of what the dwellingLIVE system delivers Community managers, developers and builders today. A native Californian, Greg enjoys competitive sports and is an avid surfer.
Ron’s knowledge of strategic management and planning will aid the dwellingLIVE effort to maintain its strong position as the industry leader in home and community solutions. His experience in negotiating and building strategic partnerships within the different sectors that dwellingLIVE serves will ensure consistent growth as the industry looks to technology to better serve their buyers. Ron and his wife Lorie reside in Long Beach, CA. They are avid boaters and enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.
He began his career as an IBM assembler programmer in the UK when paper tape and punched cards were the order of the day. In 1973 he emigrated to Canada and helped transform a company from a diversified provider of system solutions to various business segments, into a focused leader in the Canadian hospital systems market. Shared Medical Systems in the US later acquired CARE/4 Health Systems. He later joined McDonnell Douglas as National Systems Director and was transferred to the US in 1985. Since then Bill has held the top IT position at several public companies including Powerwave Technologies, Collectors Universe and Western Digital – where he also ran the global Business Operations group for six years. Bill came to dwellingLIVE after several years as CEO of another award winning SaaS provider, m2vc, inc.
A graduate of Sunderland Polytechnic and a Member of the British Computer Society, Bill is also holds British, Canadian and US citizenships. An accomplished linguist, Scrabble player and golfer, he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren.
In her role as VP of Sales & Marketing, Helen is responsible for building name recognition and awareness of the dwellingLIVE’s home and community solutions system, as well as educating the builder on improving the home buying experience through technology. Born in England, Helen now resides in Southern California where she enjoys the great outdoors with her three young sons.
In his role as Custom Program Consultant with dwellingLIVE, John is responsible for promoting dwellingLIVE’s Community and Home solutions to builders and developers nationwide. John is a resident of Southern California, where he lives with his wife Tricia and their three children.
